Health and Safety at work
Falga s.r.l. > Company > Health and Safety at work
On the 17th of March 2016 FALGA has obtained the OHSAS 18001 certification, which is an international regulation for Health and Safety. The goals of FALGA are: control, awareness and minimization of risks both in normal operating situations and in abnormal situations.
Getting certified according to OHSAS 18001 then means carrying on a project of improvement of the performance of the company through time, showing commitment and respect for the employees.
To understand the importance of the OHSAS 18001 certification it is important to consider where it fits into the national and international scene of Certifications. OHSAS 18001 in fact represents an important step in view of the definition of an international standard about an aspect so delicate and actual of job’s world. OHSAS 18001 is not a simple aspect of production or service delivery process, but its most important and vulnerable elements: people.
OHSAS 18001 was developed thanks to the cooperation of the main International Certification Entities and some important National Standard Institutes.
The basic idea is that companies should refer to a single reference model, i.e. an objective parameter that can be certified on occupational health and safety management systems that companies should respect.
Being OHSAS 18001 certified is demonstrating and obtaining the corresponding acknowledgment that you are working in line with the standards of excellence.
